About Me

Junior at Washington and Lee University pursuing a bachelor of arts in politics and journalism with a minor in education policy. I have channeled my interests in these fields by taking classes such as News Writing, Digital Journalism, and Beat Reporting. I have put the skills I learned into practice through my roles as a journalist for The Daily Progress, the Rockbridge Report, The Ring-tum Phi, The News-Gazette, a congressional aid, a Contact Committee member, a Career Fellow, and the podcast co-chair for the First Year Orientation Committee. These roles have strengthened my leadership, communication, and organizational skills. I hope to work as a journalist or attend graduate school upon graduation. Outside of school, I love to hike, play volleyball or tennis, cook (I am currently writing a cookbook), or spend time with my friends.
